Speak UP! Women, Art & Social Justice. Guest curated by artist/curator Valeri Larko, this mixed media show features original artwork from: Rodriguez Calero, Airco Caravan, Daina Higgins, and Arlene Rush. This show addresses women’s rights, as well as other social justice issues. All of the artists in this exhibition have been making important art for decades. They say the “future is female”, but with so many countries backsliding on women’s rights and other human rights, it is important to listen to these powerful women’s voices.

ABORTION 4ALL
What to do after Roe vs. Wade was overturned? Protest, parade, and create art to resist, and stand up. Make our voices heard.
Wall tapestry including seven feminist pro-abortion artists: Katrina Majkut, Wildcat Ebony Brown, Michele Pred, Eva van Kempen, Sarah Maple, Shannon Downey aka Badass CrossStitch, and Airco Caravan. And: ¡Viva México! because on September 6, 2023, Mexico decriminalized abortion. ¡Muchas gracias! So now women travel from the US to Mexico to get an abortion instead of the other way around. Crazy.
FEMINIST ART PARADE
This women’s rights wall tapestry/cloth was used to create a Lady Liberty dress. With the Liberty Crown, 5 spray bottles on a belt, and an Abortion 4All flag, I marched with Michele Pred’s Feminist Art Parade from the Capitol along the Reflection Pool to the Lincoln Monument in Washington DC, where Tiffany Shlain’s Feminist History Tree Ring was located. The Liberty Crown is a creation by Eva van Kempen Jewelry, made with abortion pills.
On November 4 2023, just before the local elections, famous feminist artists like Michele Pred, Tiffany Schlain, and Whitney Broadshaw, along with many others, traveled to Washington DC and joined hands to get the message across: Vote pro-abortion! Vote feminist! Vote for Women’s Rights!

PEST AC - HELL NO
My move from Amsterdam to New York wasn’t just fun. One of the first things that had to be bought was RAID, to get rid of the roaches, pshhhhh: KILL! Unpleasant, but very effective.
This lead to the idea of a new body of work. As an activist, feminist artist Caravan fights for a better world through art. And wouldn’t it be convenient if we could spray away all nasty things in our society? Just like killing roaches? It would end racism, misogyny, sexism, fascism, gun violence, the patriarchy and global warming instantly.
