After my collection thin plastic shopping bags from deli's in New York City. 

There’s something in between 37,000 and 66,000 pounds waste on the beaches in the Netherlands (17.000 - 30.000 kg), that’s 70 to 110 pounds per mile beach, varying from candy wrappers and potato chips bags, to cigarette buds and fishing nets. Most of the waste is plastic. To all wasters and polluters:

Artist-run gallery Popinnart was present at the art fain KunstRAI 2022 in Amsterdam, Netherlands. We chose a theme: sea level rise, because Amsterdam is already below sea level and a sea level rise up to 2 meters is expected by the end of the century. All 23 artists reflected on this theme and presented all new artworks on the art fair. The water line in our booth connected the artworks. The plastic bags flied and floated... Thank you.

Art fair KunstRAI was founded in 1984 and is the longest running art fair in the Netherlands. In 2023 the 38th edition will be organized. Hopefully still without wet feet.
